Our friend Kimberley & Friday night

When Nathaniel and I first moved here, our good friend Mark Klinski came to visit us! We decided to go to an Orthodox church where Mark's friends attend. After the service we stayed for coffee and snacks and met a wonderful girl named Kimberley. Kimberley is a chatty gal, and when she heard Nathaniel and I had just moved here and weren't familiar with all things Vancouver she felt it was her duty to show us around!! We were very excited about not only feeling like we weren't boring hosts to Mark, but also to have this inside scoop of cool new places to see. We ended up spending the rest of the week with Kimberley, getting to know one another and exploring areas of the city! Needless to say, Kimberley has become a wonderful friend to us here and we feel truly blessed she was so chatty that first day!!

On Friday night Kimberley and her brother Matthew (who's visiting from Edmonton) took us to an Orthodox Choral concert and out for a belated birthday meal! The concert was titled Give Rest O Christ, Sacred Music of Purcell, Rachmaninoff and others, and was performed by the Kenosis Male Chorus and the Resonance Singers. The concert is to benefit Saint Arseny Orthodox Youth Camp. Kimberley and Matthew took us to a restaurant called Feenies which is the first Iron Chef winner Mike Feenies restaurant! We had a blast drinking good beer, trying new cheeses, chowing on burgers and sharing funny childhood stories!

I notice that in every photo of Nathaniel, his facial hair is at a different thickness and shape.

Is this part of an architectural study of some sort?

Isn't Kim wonderful! I had a very similar experience. She just took me under her wing and loved on me. I was in such an incorrigible place, too. It didn't matter, she was as gracious as ever!

I'm so glad y'all are becoming friends.
